Terms of Service — Brevio

Last updated: November 2025

Welcome to Brevio ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Brevio — including the Brevio Custom GPT available within ChatGPT and any related integrations, websites, or prototypes we provide.

By accessing or using Brevio, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy (the "Policies"). If you do not agree, please do not use Brevio.

1. Overview

Brevio helps you summarize and interact with newsletters using AI. It connects to your email inbox (e.g., Gmail) with your permission, analyzes newsletter content, and generates concise summaries and insights.

Brevio is currently offered free of charge as an experimental beta service. We may add usage limits or paid plans in the future.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or of legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Brevio. By using Brevio, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Service Description

  • Brevio reads only newsletters from the email account you explicitly connect.
  • It produces AI-generated summaries and allows conversational exploration of those newsletters.
  • Brevio does not send, delete, or alter emails in your account.
  • The service is read-only and limited to summarization, organization, and Q&A functionality.

Because Brevio uses artificial intelligence, outputs may occasionally contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. Always verify important information from original sources.

4. Account and Authentication

  • You connect your email account through OAuth (e.g., Gmail Sign-In).
  • Brevio never stores your email password or credentials.
  • You can revoke access anytime from your Google Account or Brevio settings.
  • You are responsible for maintaining control of your connected account and ensuring that you do not share access with unauthorized parties.

5. Fair Use ("Free Within Reason")

Brevio is currently free to use with no enforced daily or monthly limits. However, to ensure a fair and stable experience for everyone:

  • You agree not to automate or excessively script requests to Brevio.
  • We may temporarily restrict or suspend access if usage is abnormally high or harms system performance.
  • "Free within reason" means human-scale personal use, not bulk or automated processing.

6. User Responsibilities

By using Brevio, you agree to:

  • Only connect inboxes you own or control.
  • Avoid using Brevio to access or process illegal, confidential, or infringing content.
  • Accept that summaries are AI-generated and may not always be accurate.
  • Use outputs for personal or informational purposes only — not as legal, financial, or medical advice.

7. Intellectual Property

  • You own your emails and newsletter content.
  • We own Brevio's software, name, design, and underlying technology.
  • Generated summaries and insights are derived works created by AI. You may use them freely for personal or educational purposes.

8. Data Handling

During this beta phase, Brevio does not store or retain any user data. All processing occurs transiently within the OpenAI platform at runtime.

Future versions (e.g., Brevio Pro) may include optional data storage to save summaries or insights. If this becomes available:

  • Only email accounts you intentionally connect will be read.
  • Summaries and metadata may be stored with your consent.
  • Full content will only be stored if you explicitly enable that option.
  • You will be able to delete your data or disconnect your email at any time.
  • We will never sell or share your data for marketing purposes.

See the Privacy Policy for further details.

9. AI Output and Limitations

Brevio uses OpenAI's language models to analyze and summarize newsletters. AI outputs:

  • Are automatically generated, not reviewed by humans.
  • May be incomplete, outdated, or contain inaccuracies.
  • Should not replace professional judgment or original sources.

You agree to use Brevio "as is" and acknowledge that results are provided for convenience, not factual authority.

10. Availability and Modifications

Brevio is in beta and may change or be interrupted at any time. We may update, pause, or discontinue parts of the service without prior notice.

We may also modify these Terms periodically — the latest version will always be posted here.

11. Termination

You may stop using Brevio at any time by disconnecting your Gmail account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, or compromise system security.

12. Disclaimers

Brevio is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about accuracy, reliability, or availability of AI outputs.

We are not liable for any damages arising from:

  • Use or reliance on AI-generated summaries.
  • Data loss or service interruptions.
  • Third-party integrations such as Gmail or OpenAI.

Use Brevio at your own discretion and risk.

13. Relationship with OpenAI

Brevio is an independent product created by a third party. It is not developed, endorsed, or operated by OpenAI. Brevio uses OpenAI's language models to process and summarize content, but all data handling, storage, and support are managed solely by Brevio. For any inquiries or issues, please contact amilcar.zambrano@icloud.com, not OpenAI.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of São Paulo, Brazil.
